The HIV/AIDS Treatment Adherence, Health Outcomes and Cost Study is a collaborative project of Federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), HAB, and NIH's National Institute on Drug Abuse. The study will assess integrated treatment interventions for dually-diagnosed individuals living with HIV/AIDS. It will seek to determine treatment adherence, health outcomes, and costs associated with the provision of mental health, substance abuse disorders, and HIV/AIDS primary care services for individuals living with HIV/AIDS who also have both a mental and substance abuse disorder.
