Deliver HIV/AIDS Care

  • Ryan White and the Affordable Care Act

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) is an historic opportunity for people living with HIV (PLWH), including those currently receiving services through the Ryan White Program, to increase their access to affordable, quality health care. Many Ryan White clients will gain access to health insurance or see their current health insurance improve.  These transitions will require thoughtful and careful coordination between the federal government, state and local governments, Ryan White Program grantees, and clients.

  • HHS Clinical Guidelines
Recommendations on an array of HIV/AIDS care and treatment issues (e.g., antiretroviral therapy, opportunistic infection treatment and prophylaxis) as well as guidance on conducting HIV testing and counseling. Guidelines are regularly updated by expert panels.

  • Clinical Care Protocols/Practices

  • Provider Training (AETCs)
AETCs, AIDS Education and Training Centers, comprise a network of regional and national centers that train health care providers to treat persons with HIV/AIDS.
